Guesthouses in The Cotswolds, EnglandThe Cotswolds includes parts of the counties of Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. It is the name given to a range of hills in central England, rising to a height of 1,000 feet and designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The north of the area includes the Severn Valley, the east has Oxford and the south the River Thames. The area was a major producer of wool in the middle ages and some of the drovers roads are still in existence today. The Cotswolds is famous for it's picturesque little villages and the yellow limestone that is used to build many of the cottages and houses. There are plenty of national Trust properties to visit. Activities include walking, riding, fishing, cycling and visiting the delightful and traditional English pubs!
