Guesthouses in County Offaly, IrelandCounty Offaly has many castles, abbeys and heritage centres to visit and there are plenty of places of historic interest throughout the county, which lies roughly near the centre of Ireland.
Birr town with it's castle is worth a visit whilst Tullamore, the capital of Offaly, is famous for whiskey and the unusual Charleville Forest castle.
Walkers and hikers will appreciate the Slieve Bloom Mountains which lie in the south east of the county. The River Shannon separates Offaly from the counties of Rosscommon and Galway. Guest houses are listed in the Guest House Rooms web site.
