Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast. Laurel Farm is an old farmhouse standing in approximately 4 acres, half a mile down a quiet lane off the A606, half way between Nottingham and Melton Mowbray.
Accommodation at Laurel Farm is strictly for non-smokers and is Asthma Friendly as none of the animals are allowed in any of the areas used by guests. Laurel Farm is convenient for many tourist attractions.
All rooms are individually decorated and well furnished with either en-suite or private facilities. Rooms have many extras including bathrobes for guests. There is an excellent hospitality tray and a very good selection of toiletries.
Breakfast is served in a large dining room and only fresh local produce and free-range eggs are used. There is a refrigerator for guest's use in the dining room.
Local towns of Melton Mowbray, Loughborough and Leicester are all within 20 minutes drive. There are plenty of good local eating places without having to go into Nottingham.
Please don't hesitate to ask and I am happy to make any bookings. Laundry Service (at a charge) is available for longer stay guests.
The majority of the land is grazing for several rescued animals, including Henry the sheep, Milly the goat and Sam the pony. Dogs, cats, ducks and chickens are also kept. The garden is about two thirds of an acre and has in the past opened under the National Garden Scheme. There are natural and formal water features and rare and unusual plants.
At present the garden is undergoing a face-lift and at times may be used by adult guests. Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the property or surrounding outside areas. There is plenty of off-road parking and is suitable for larger vehicles.
