Guesthouses in Staffordshire, EnglandStaffordshire is a county in the middle of England bordering Cheshire and Leicestershire amongst others and it contains part of the National Forest.
The north has wild moorlands, the middle has is low and rolling whilst the south of the county is extremely beautiful. The main river is the River Trent and the county is known for vast coal fields and iron ore deposits. The soil is mainly clay and so agriculture is not a main industry here. The county is best known for it's potteries and Stoke-on-Trent is where fine porcelain is produced by companies such as Wedgewood, Spode and Royal Doulton. The Potteries museum reveals the history of this industry. The amusement park 'Alton Towers' is at Moreton
